Celebrate Ellen Baker’s Legacy by Supporting Inclusive Leadership
As part of this year’s fifth anniversary celebration of the Real Estate Diversity Initiative (REDI), ULI Cleveland is honored to announce the creation of the Ellen Baker Memorial Scholarship—a tribute to a passionate young leader whose dedication to community and inclusion continues to inspire us all.
Ellen Baker was a 2024 REDI participant and a devoted member of the City of Cleveland Department of Community Development, where she served as a Senior Strategist in the Asset Redevelopment office. Her work reflected an unwavering commitment to revitalizing neighborhoods, uplifting resident voices, and building equitable pathways to opportunity.
Ellen was also an active and joyful member of the ULI Cleveland community, recently engaging with the Women’s Leadership Initiative and helping to plan alumni efforts for this milestone REDI year. She was known for her compassion, energy, and belief in the power of people working together for positive change.
The Ellen Baker Memorial Scholarship will ensure her impact lives on—supporting future REDI participants who share Ellen’s passion for inclusive development and community-driven change.
