    The United States is cautiously embracing public/private partnerships (PPPs): 37 states have passed enabling legislation so far, and the White House is “looking at” PPPs for its vaunted, though so far dormant, Infrastructure Initiative. In contrast, Australia, Canada, and the U.K. have pursued far more robust and proactive strategies. Canada has applied the PPP model to education, health care, housing, transportation, water, and the full range of public infrastructure functions. Australia is adopting outcome-based policies with dramatic results, and in the process transforming how government works. This session will showcase six experts in the field to report on works in progress and tee up audience engagement on the key issues that Washington policy makers should address....
