    As regions become hotter, stormier, and wetter, climate change is likely to lead to migration and shifting economic development patterns, both worldwide and in the United States. Accordingly, as some cities and regions invest in infrastructure and initiate plans to be better prepared for climate impacts, others are planning for the potential arrival of new businesses and communities seeking more hospitable environments.
